Are you feeling the changes in the air and seeing the shifts in the world? Everything is changing. Is it unsettling you? Change can be an uncomfortable state to be in but it certainly ensures the opportunity for growth and development. These are times of great Call in our lives to fulfil the jobs and missions that we came here for. Frustratingly, this transition into life purpose is fraught with complexities. On the upside, nothing worth doing is an easy task and once accomplished brings so much more satisfaction and gratitude.
One of the things that I value the very most in my life is my journey with Reiki. I was called to discover more about this energy healing many years ago and continued to put it aside until my world was beset with trauma and tragedy. It was this that drove me straight into the arms of reiki and my healing path. The evidence became apparent to me and I went on find my calling by combining my current knowledge skills of nursing with new skills in counselling and reiki healing.
Reiki is a state of natural healing and balance which is a part of our inherent rights as souls. It is indigenous healing and like the indigenous ancient methods of caring for the land, reiki is the natural state of all humanity. It is the recognition that we are all connected to a Universal power of compassion. We have lost connection with ourselves through the loss of soul connection to a Higher Source – that place we all come from and return to at the end of our lives.
Indigenous people all over the world will tell you that to maintain healthy connection to their beloved land, one must reconnect with self and your beginnings. We are more than a body and a mind. We are individual Souls travelling around in body vessels. When we acknowledge all three aspects of self, we function at higher, more loving levels. This results in responding to each other and the land more efficiently. Then we begin to heal. We begin to connect with each other respectfully and compassionately, healing each other in the process. Reiki is simply a title for these healing skills, using the same beautiful aspects of all indigenous wisdoms and medicine.
There is peace and deep inner knowledge when one knows they are on the right road to working with their life purpose, and it is second to none. The journey is indeed long, at times hazardous and can be exhausting but for me has been so worth every little learning experience. What an amazing ride it has been. Before I shout out with glee however, I must be clear! The journey does not end but continues on and I wonder what is next. Reiki lives in inside all of us and is a guiding light. You will feel it too, whatever you want to call this universal and enlightening energy. Enjoy the ride of your life. Heads Up!
