Communication can be a tricky thing. Sometimes we hear direction but don’t always pay attention or even understand it. We are often rushed or thinking of other things, unfocused on the information right in front of us. This is also true when listening to our intuition. We have an amazing system in place to receive information from Higher Planes and can utilise this gift to support our lives if we take the trouble to develop these natural skills. As a medium, it has never been hard to tap into the pipeline of those passed over and I feel honoured to be able to do so. However, there are times when I am not quite getting it! Similar to my experiences with my earthy communications, I can get the wrong end of the stick!
To demonstrate, when the occasion of my nephew’s birthday began to creep up, I tuned in to the Other Side and asked my sister what she would like me to buy for her son as I do every year since she has passed. Her answer threw me for six. Ratshit, she responded. I was horrified. Really? What sort of gift is that then I asked her with shock. My sister tried again from her heavenly abode. Raattchit. That I told her, is disgusting. I could almost feel the toll that this exchange was taking her as again she sounded out her important message. Ratchet. Ratchet. Ohhhhhhhh, well then. I think a ratchet is a tool isn’t it? This began to make more sense. I announced to my husband that my sister had requested we pick up a ratchet set for her son’s birthday, but I wasn’t sure what that was. He, on the other hand was not perturbed and agreed that this was indeed a grand tool to have. He proceeded to look at ratchet sets online, quickly locating a lovely set of tools with a ratchet included. It felt so right.
Our visit to my nephew for his birthday included a presentation of his mother’s gift. This rather bulky and cumbersome tool box was acknowledged with happy thanks to his Mum. I was busting to know what this gift meant to him and jumped in to find out. With a gentle smile on his face, my nephew disclosed that he had been asking his Mum for a new toolkit because his last one was stolen just weeks ago from the back of his Ute! Oh good one Sis!
There is always time to stop and listen carefully to others, whether on this side or the Other. You never know what you might discover. Networking and communicating together is what life is about. My sister tries hard to stay in touch and all I have to do is make a similar effort and there before me is a real gem of love. It can be seriously worth honouring the giver of messages wherever they are. It’s a simple thing to really listen with an open heart.
